SPRING 2020 SEASON
Hello ladies and welcome to the Spring 2020 season at The Langley Hockey House.
The Hockey House is becoming known as the Lower Mainlands top choice for Ball Hockey. Our facility features a hockey specific tile floor, fast action game and great competition for your teams.
Sign up today as a team or free agent, and get in the game.
We are a facility run by hockey players. We play the game we are promoting, and want to bring you the same great experience we would come to expect at any game.
CAPTAINS MEETING
Wednesday April 1st 2020 Captains Meeting and league info session “all players welcome”
- Held here at the arena.
- Meeting to start at 7:00pm ( 7:00pm- 8:00pm).
- One player from each team MUST attend.
SEASON DETAILS
- 9 - 12 Regular season games.
- 1 Playoff games ( format pending )
- 9 - 13 Games played in total. ( format pending )
Season Starts April 7th 2020
Final Game of the season July 28th 2020
SCHEDULE / ROTATION :
We have a total space for 10 teams.
Games are played on Tuesday nights
First Game starts at 6pm
Second Game starts at 7pm
Third Game starts at 8pm
Schedule concepts :
Option 1 :
8 teams max
16 Weeks of hockey
12 games played per team
Per week 6 play 2 sit
NO Playoffs ( top teams of the season are deemed champions )
Ends July 28
Option 2 :
8 teams max
15 weeks of hockey
9 regular season games per team
Per week 6 play 2 sit
Playoffs are top 4 bottom 4 1v4 - 2v3 - WvW
Ends July 21
Option 3:
8 teams max
17 Weeks of hockey
12 games played per team
Per week 6 play 2 sit
Predetermined Divisions of 4
Playoffs Top 2 in each Division get to play a finals
Ends August 4
Option 4 :
If 9 or 10 teams this is the only option
16 Weeks of hockey
9 regular season games played per team
Per week 6 play 4 sit
Playoffs are
Top 6 - Bottom 4 ( A 1v2 B 3v4 C7v8 )
Ends July 28
COST OF PLAY
Total for the season is = $1,800 - 2,150 depending on the format chosen above
Payment is due in full at the captains meeting or your teams first game.
SEASON DATES :
Captains Meeting = Wednesday April 1 2020
Game 1 = Week of April 7 + 11
Final Playoffs game = Week of July 14 + 18
GAME DETAILS
Games are 2 X 22 min run time periods.
Regular season games remain tied.
2 man referee system
All schedule and stats kept online.
Game balls are supplied by The Hockey House
DIVISIONS AVAILABLE
Women's
Open Age Group anyone can play.
Min age 14 years old
Where there are enough teams and gap in results divisions will be split to allow for better competition
Specific Rules :
All women must have proper gear and helmet with full face shield.
TEAM UNIFORMS
All teams will be expected to have a FULL set of matching jerseys for the start of the season.
- Jerseys must be the same colour ” no more light blue and dark blue as (blue)” ( no rainbow teams )
- All Jerseys must have a proper number on the back. ” no hockey tape numbers”
- Any teams in need of Jerseys for the year we are happy to help with purchase or rental of a set. “inquire within”
PLAYER INSURANCE
The Hockey House offers an industry leading insurance policy to it's players.
- Players MUST be registered to a team, PRIOR to the start of the game for insurance to be valid.
- Any and all insurance claims must be reported to The Hockey House. info@langleyhockeyhouse.com
